I have long enjoyed the idea of creating journeys using digital software. In 2012, I discovered Twine, an online software to create interactive stories. It was a lifesaving discovery. I was suffering from depression and in need of a creative outlet that would help me unravel the melee of emotions I was, initially, unable to name.
I quietly worked with chalk pastels, charcoal and acrylic paints. I have always used drawing and sketching as another means of expression, and a way to my way to clear my mind, especially when words are not available.
Liberated from some debilitating complex anxiety, which for many a day had me bed-ridden, poetry found its way back to my pen and I was able to write to heal.
When I stumbled up interactive storytellers I was intrigued to discover how I might bale to create my own. I did a Google search about Twine, and, through a lot of trial and error and reddit forum searches, I created my own Twine Interactive Story called The Loving Oracle, inspired by the poem I wrote in 2005 called the Resting Chair.
Second hand and cat clawed by my Familiar, Giovanni, it was Love.
